CMC-Canada
Organizations place considerable trust in advisors. Consultants may influence strategy, investment, organizational design, technology, operations, workforce decisions, and the evidence used to evaluate performance. Yet management consulting is not generally regulated in Canada, making professional standards and accountable conduct especially important.
The Canadian Association of Management Consultants, commonly known as CMC-Canada, provides an independent professional structure for that accountability. It administers the Certified Management Consultant designation in Canada, supports its conferral through provincial Institutes, establishes professional and competency requirements, and binds Certified Members to a Uniform Code of Professional Conduct intended to protect clients, the public, and the integrity of the profession.
Many Alescent Team Members hold the CMC or Fellow Certified Management Consultant designation. For Alescent, these credentials represent more than professional recognition. They reinforce an obligation to accept only work for which the advisor is qualified, preserve independence and objectivity, define engagements and deliverables clearly, protect confidential information, disclose conflicts, maintain professional capability, and remain answerable for the quality and conduct of advisory work.
