National Research Council of Canada
Technology innovation requires more than a promising idea. Small and medium-sized businesses must convert technical potential into commercial capability while managing constrained capital, specialized talent, operational capacity, market uncertainty, and the organizational demands of growth.
The National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program, known as NRC IRAP, helps eligible Canadian businesses navigate these conditions through advice, connections, and, in appropriate cases, financial support. Its advisor-led model recognizes that funding alone cannot resolve the management, capability, and commercialization barriers that prevent innovation from producing economic value.
Alescent’s relationship with NRC is principally through the Management Advisory Services program funded by NRC IRAP and administered by CMC-Canada. Several Alescent Team Members are prequalified to deliver MAS engagements, providing referred businesses with focused management advice grounded in professional competence, ethical accountability, and practical action planning.
